How much do you tell about yourself? How much do you open up and let people see inside? It’s up to you. But remember, not everyone can handle your complexity! 🤯
You might have some people in your life that you think you can tell them anything. But be aware, not everyone likes to hear everything you do in your life. Choose wisely with whom you share your stories. Colleagues at work need to be treated differently than your close friends. Pick who you think you can trust and who can give you the best feedback and advise about your experience. Tell your story to the people who you know they support you in your matter. In general, avoid telling the negative about yourself. By not talking trash about yourself you will see an increase in your confidence and you give off a different image to the people around you. This doesn’t mean you can not have problems and be sad from time to time, but be aware that not everyone is the right person to help you with your issue.
Some might feel for you, but have to handle their own situation and they can not always be there for you when you need them. It helps to remember that you are not the first one with your issues in this world, a lot of people had a similar experience before and found a solution. You too will find a solution and nowadays with the internet you probably find a place where you can read about the exact method you need to tackle your issues. You are not alone.
On the other hand if there is something you care deeply about and you really feel like it weighs you down not to talk about it, go ahead. Don’t let it eat you up from inside. Tell what is necessary. Open up to people which experienced what you did before, and you will find compassion and sympathy. You’ll feel relieved that you brought up the subject and you will see someone close to you knows exactly what you mean. Avoid people that are judging quickly though. You don’t want to be blamed for something you already have an insecurity about. We all are complex beings, with feelings that can change from one second to the next. Be aware of this. Blossom like a flower. wait for the circumstances to be right and let time do the rest.
Nurture yourself from inside and you might even be able to open every little bud that you have and become the most colourful and wonderful flower everyone likes to see, smell and enjoy. It’s up to you. But make the best out of what you have and you won’t be scared to talk about your deepest thoughts.
