Self realisation and development

Becoming your own hero
I went through tough times after finishing college. I had health problems that held me back from realising my biggest goals. This difficult times helped me get another view on life and self development played an essential role in this conquest.
I learned that we should appreciate every moment we have in our life’s and that we should always ask ourselves; does this make me happier, better, or does it bring me closer to my goals. Because if it doesn’t you should think about doing something else.
I learned that support is important and that it’s ok to ask for help. I learned that together we are stronger and that life’s biggest obstacles come our way to make us grow and so that we have a story to tell.
Success is only possible through failure. That’s how we learn walking as a child. We fall, we get back up and one day we walk and it’s normal.
Realise your dreams
Realising your dreams is easier if you follow the things you want to do. Your dreams animate the activities you do every day, so better listen to them. Don’t put your desires aside because someone told you they are silly. You know why you want something and how you want it. Keep that vision in mind and do whatever makes you happy.
When I was 16 year old my sister asked me what my dream was. I told her I want to work in a web agency and do music on the side. When I was 30 years old I owned my own web agency and I gave little concerts in cafe’s all around town. I actually realised that, what I thought as a 16 year old would be impossible, was in the end the fruit of putting in the work and connecting with the right people.
And now my vision keeps expanding. I now follow another career which I believe can give me happiness and fulfilment. I gave myself 6 months time to figure out what kind of job I would like to pursue next. I love it for now and I still have tons of other dreams I would love to see fulfilled one day!

Giving back
I received a lot of help during my difficult times and I know how hard all of it can be on the psych. Corona is giving us a hard time as well right now and we all are happy if we have support from others and mustn’t face these difficult times alone. I have an important message for all those that supported me and still do:
“Thank you with all my heart”
I felt very inspired with all the help I got and I want to help also.
I want to support those who need help right now and feel alone or sad or angry and that need support and help.
That’s why I created a Facebook page for mental health in Luxembourg. And not only that I am developing a website for mental health in Luxembourg as well, where you can find all the information about this topic and where to find the right people to get the needed support.
